In the next 10 weeks, I hope to take the leap into building long-term lasting business connections. An entrepreneur’s ideas can only go as far as that entrepreneur’s network. This is precisely why building a stable, mutually-beneficially business network is essential in the entrepreneurial world. Business networks are seedbeds of development, brainstorming, and support; and building this network is all part of an entrepreneur’s journey towards their goals. Choosing this objective as my leap this semester, I hope to build connections with business professionals who I can learn from and collaborate with. I feel this is so important in entrepreneurship because collaborating with others and sharing ideas is the sparking force of innovation and change.
My inspirations for building a network and eventually a socially-responsible business all lie in wanting to leave a positive impact on the world around me. Whether it’s a small scale impact such as connecting a customer with the right product and service for them or a larger scale impact such as building an effort to save our ecosystems, I hope to make a difference with my entrepreneurial ventures.
I believe taking the leap to build professional connections is the next step along my entrepreneurial path. One of the keys to success in the business world is surrounding yourself with like-minded, driven, and innovative peers. While building this network of motivated peers, ideas for new products and services and ideas for change will come seemingly naturally.
